1. Curriculum planning and special characteristics
(1) Our course curriculum incorporates three main principles:
Theory and application are equally emphasized.
Specialized and general concepts are both studied.
Classical and modern are both given attention.

Specialized
From the first to the fourth year, the applied program gradually progresses from basic to more difficult concepts, finally arriving at an expert degree of knowledge in Chinese literature.
Multi-faceted
According to the many demands of the professional market, we offer students multiple areas of instruction with the hope that what they learn, they can immediately use. By increasing student’s proficiency in English, computer use, Chinese education, placement test assistance, literature creation, news compilation, and secretarial knowledge, we believe students will have more future prospects.
Practical
We use academic knowledge to integrate the notions of society, realistic lifestyles, and personal growth,
while developing applied Chinese research skills with skills and ethics at the same time.
2. Energetic instruction and multi-purpose study
Instructional principles and characteristics
Within the principle of emphasizing both theory and application, and looking after both professional and general needs are both looked after, we have developed a modern perspective, and use scientific methods to engage in the process of Chinese literature research. For instance, we use music to aid in the process of teaching poems, expressions and songs. We also use various aides such as slides and computer technology to assist in the teaching process. On non-class days, teachers can take advantage of guiding students to various places for observation and research. This helps to train students’ observation and introspection abilities. We also adopt the policy that studying and teaching are really one. We hope to encourage students to develop their own interests by engaging in multiple fields of study.
